Craven Lovelace first joined Grand Junction, Colorado’s well-esteemed community radio station KAFM as a volunteer programmer in 2000. Four years later, he was enlisted by general manager Peter Trosclair, resource director Julia Hall and then-program director John Schultz to write and produce NOTES, a daily short-form radio program about the history of popular music. In 2005, he began writing a weekly column in the GRAND JUNCTION FREE PRESS to accompany NOTES.
In another life, Craven has been a television producer, actor, news reporter, courtroom artist, editor for MTV’s BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD and an award-winning animator. With Todd Rutt, he co-directed the low-budget schlockstravaganza, SHOCK! SHOCK! SHOCK! (Rhino Home Video).
His ultra-mega-super-wide variety show SONGS FROM HERE AND THERE, THEN AND NOW can be heard on KAFM every Friday morning from 9 am to noon (GMT).
He currently resides in Grand Junction, Colorado with his beautiful wife and strange pets.
